But once I saw a fantastic sight. I was in San Diego on the top floor of an old resort hotel. In probably the cheapest room...but with a perfect view of the shore line below, of the Pacific Ocean.
It was a quiet sunny Sunday morning. Formations of gliding Pelicans passed over the water every few minutes.
And then I saw the fins rising! Not just a couple, but a large pod of Orcas!
They moved along very slowly, lazily.
Then I saw the kayaker. He had stopped paddling and was simply being carried along among the whales.
And then suddenly the pod accelerated and quickly were out of sight. The kayaker merely floated for about three minutes. I waited and watched.
Suddenly he started paddling and moved along.
I wondered if those Orcas had slowed down to mingle with him longer...
A cool vid! Orca touches noses with dog on boat.
