The morning fog would have burned off by about nine o'clock. My friend Michael and I liked to canoe and we'd go out for hours.
Sometimes we'd talk and sometimes we'd just paddle along, and the sound of the water dripping off the paddles was meditative. One time we went so far (Lake Huron is huge!) that we lost sight of the shores. Lucky we got home. My friends and I have lost touch with him, yet recently we thought we saw him in a French film from the 80's. Have you ever had a friend who just disappeared?
